What is Light up the Lake?
Light up the Lake is a fundraising event for the autism services Enrich+ provides.
All of our autism services are paid for by the individuals and their families. Often they do not have any funding from the government to purchase services and support related to their autism or they be yet to receive a diagnosis of autism and associated funding.
Our services for children, teenagers and adults on the autism spectrum include:
- facilitated social and communication development groups
- one to one coaching and mentoring
- support with behaviour support strategies
- education for employers and others
- customised programme of support for students and their school
We also want to raise awareness of autism, have a bit of fun, gather socially to celebrate our differences and encourage exercise and a healthy lifestyle as a key part of maintaining optimal physical and mental health for people with autism
Why take part?
By being part of Light up the Lake you are playing a part in transforming the lives of children, teenagers and adults living with autism.
You will get to meet other supporters, parents, whānau, friends and individuals with autism.
Your entry fee and fundraising will be able to:
- provide families with fee discounts
- purchase resources for our groups
- contribute towards the wages and travel costs for our experienced mentors and facilitators
- support venue costs
