Karen started working in the disability sector when she was 17, and has always believed that every individual no matter what their circumstances, has the right to a “life like any other”. This is one of the reason why taking up the job at Enrich+ in early 2017 fits so perfectly with her. She believes that her values match with the vision and values of Enrich+, which makes it an organisation that she is proud to work for. Karen is a strong advocate for working in collaboration with others to maximise outcomes and increase capability. She has experience in the area of disability and harm minimisation for safer communities both in New Zealand and abroad. She has worked in both Central and Local government and the not for profit sector and has a passion for bringing individuals and organisations together to pool resources and skills for improved outcomes.
Amour has worked previously as a University Lecturer in South Africa and as Accountancy Manager for local government. Her goal is to turn the often complex field of financial management into an easy to understand function for Enrich+ staff. Amour has huge respect for the accounting principle of transparency and works at all levels within the organisation on this.
With over 20 years’ experience in Strategy, Customer service, Program and Project Management, Business and Operational Management, Elaine is passionate about using her skills and experience to make a difference to people with a disability by providing the team at Enrich+ with quality systems, processes and support, and ensuring the ongoing sustainability of the business, so Enrich+ can continue to provide quality services and a life like any other for the people we support”
Wendy stepped in to lead Enrich+ in 2010 following an extensive and notable career path within the health and disability sector. Beginning as a practitioner in health and disability fields, then enjoying several years teaching health and disability undergraduate and post graduate programmes and recently undertaking managerial and consultancy roles within the sector - Wendy has a long history of managing research, development, training and success for NZ organisations. Wendy celebrates the diversity that Enrich+ offers. She places immense value on stakeholder relationships and their contribution to achieving the organisation’s vision. She is passionate and committed to moving the organisation forward to support clients and their whānau to lead ‘a life like any other.’
